Thursday, Feb. 11th - All day  |  Friday - All day  |  Saturday & Sunday mornings.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Set up 10x10 Scotiabank tents at each rink.

  2. Deliver 2 hockey nets to each rink.

  3. Place garbage cans & recycling bins at each rink and other locations at the venue.

  4. Deliver shovels to each rink.

  5. Deliver benches to each rink and changetent.

  6. Set up tables & chairs.

  7. Assist in the set up of snowfencing and barriers onsite.

  8. Hang banners.

  9. Set up signage.

  10. Prepare slush buckets for ice maintenance crew.

  11. Assist vendors with their setup if required.

  12. Additional roles to be determined onsite.

 

 

 

Friday - 8:00 PM  |  Saturday - 8:00 PM |  Sunday Afternoon  |  Monday - All Day

Roles & Responsibilities

(Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

  1. Put away hockey nets for the night.

  2. Put away scorecards for the night.

  3. Empty garbage cans/recycling bins.

  4. Pick up garbage & stray tennis balls around the venue.

  5. Ensure tents are secure.

  6. General tidiness onsite.

(Additional roles for Sunday & Monday)

  1. Put away tents.

  2. Take down banners/signage.

  3. Take down snowfencing.

  4. Collect garbage cans, recycling bins, benches, shovels, tables, chairs, etc. for pickup by City employees.

Additional roles and responsibilities to be determined onsite.

 

 

 

VENUE MAINTENANCE

Friday 4:00-9:00  |  Saturday - All Day  |  Sunday - All Day

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Operate the “Gator” in a safe and responsible manner.

  2. Assist in collecting stray tennis balls, and returning them to game officials.

  3. Ensure the site remains free of trash.

  4. Empty garbage bins & replace bags when necessary.  Bags can be brought to the large receptacle behind the Navy League.

  5. Keep an eye on the change tent.  Ensure that it is kept tidy.

  6. Fix snow fencing if it appears to be falling down.

  7. Ensure barriers are kept in their proper position.

  8. Act as a "gopher" if vendors, organizers or volunteers need things delivered.

  9. Additional roles and responsibilities to be determined onsite.

 

 

 

 

 

ICE MAINTENANCE

Friday 4:00-9:00  |  Saturday - All Day  |  Sunday - All Day

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Repair cracks and divots on playing surfaces between games.  Slush and smoothing tools provided.

  2. Assist in clearing snow from rinks between games.

  3. Keep walking areas clear of excessive snow.

  4. Additional roles and responsibilities to be determined onsite.

 

 

 

 

Friday - All day  |  Saturday - All day  |  Sunday - All day

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Act as the on-ice official.

  2. Ensure scorekeeper is filling out scoresheet correctly.

  3. Skates must be worn.

  4. Referee jerseys provided.

 

 

 

Friday - All day  |  Saturday - All day  |  Sunday - All day

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Fill in game scoresheets.

  2. Keep track of penalties.

  3. Deliver scoresheets to administration trailer at the end of each game.
